Pi Day

I am not a math wiz, never have been, but when I heard that people all over world were going to be celebrating Pi Day (March 14 or 3/14) I knew I had to participate.  We had some friends over and I tried out a new pizza crust recipe that was great.

Happy Pi Day!  Here’s to another year of mostly using the creative, literary, and not-so-analytical side of my brain!

Easy Pizza Crust Recipe

Dissolve 2 tsp. of yeast in 1 Cup of warm water

Add 1 tbs. of sugar and let sit for about 10min

In another bowl, combine 2 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour (you can use all white, whole wheat, or a combination of both which is what I prefer)

Add 1 tsp. salt

Pour water/yeast/sugar mixture to flour and mix well

Add 2 Tbs. olive oil and continue to mix.  Use hands if it is easier.

After ingredients are well mixed, let dough sit for 1 hr.

Spread dough on pizza stone or well greased cookie sheet until it is very thin.

Top dough with your favorite things (i.e. tomato sauce, cheese, spinach, onions, peppers, etc)

Cook for 20-30 min on 400 degrees.

Pizza serves 6-8
