Puddin’ Pie

I made this pie for Easter Sunday.  Actually, I made three pies this weekend, but this was the only pie that was new for me.  It is similar to the Grasshopper pie only without the mint.  It is easy to make, and very popular with the kiddos.

Puddin’ Pie

1 container of Oreos

2 tbsp butter

1 package Jello chocolate Instant Pudding (divided)

1 cup Cool Whip

Decorations for toppings (this time I used jelly beans and a chocolate bunny)

Crush Oreos and mix with butter in food processor.  Press into pie dish saving 1/2 cup for later.  Mix Jello with 2cups of milk which will make the pudding slightly thicker than normal.  Pour half of pudding mixture into pie dish and then place in the freezer for 30 min.

Meanwhile, mix remaining pudding with 1 cup Cool Whip.

After pie has chilled in freezer approximately 3o min, add pudding/CoolWhip mixture.

Top with remaining Oreos.

Decorate as you wish.
