To celebrate our 12 year anniversary, I made a chocolate kiss pie. 12 years ago on September 9th, David and I got married on Signal Mountain, TN.
This year, on the actual night of our anniversary, we celebrated with dinner at home with our kids (we celebrated the weekend before, just the two of us). For dessert, we enjoyed this simple pie.
Chocolate Kiss Pie
Ingredients:
Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix
Vanilla Wafers for crust
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 stick butter (melted)
1 bag Hershey Kisses
Preheat oven 350.
For the crust:
Crush 1 bag of Vanilla Wafers in food processor. Then add butter and pulse again so that the mixture is moist. Press into 9 inch pie shell and bake for about 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.
I kept this pie very simple by using a brownie mix. The mix I used called for 2 eggs, 3 tablespoons of oil, and water. Follow directions on your box and then pour mixture into pie dish. You will have some left over, so pour that into a small dish and cook separately.
Bake for 45 minutes or until middle is completely cooked. Check by sticking a toothpick in the middle.
When done, remove from oven and let cool for about 30 minutes.
When the pie is completely cool, decorate the top with Hershey Kisses.
